This policy explains what data PackFitter collects, how it's used, and what third-party services are involved. We keep things simple because the site itself is simple.
Data collection
What We Collect
PackFitter does not require accounts or logins to use any tool, and the tools themselves collect no personal information — all calculator and packing-list inputs are processed in your browser. The only personal information we collect is an email address, and only if you choose to give it to us by subscribing to our optional updates list (see "Email updates" below). You can use every tool on the site without providing an email.
We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, to understand how visitors use the site. It records aggregate, non-identifying data such as pages visited, referrer, device type, and general geographic region. It sets no cookies and collects no personal information, so it cannot identify individual visitors.
Our analytics sets no cookies, and the site uses no advertising or analytics cookies. (If you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set its own cookie — see Third-Party Services below.)
Usage
How We Use This Data
Analytics data is used solely to understand which pages are visited, how the site is used, and where improvements can be made. We do not sell, share, or distribute any visitor data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Calculator inputs (trip length, climate, packing style, etc.) are processed entirely in your browser. No packing data is sent to any server or stored anywhere.

PackFitter may use the following third-party services:
Analytics: Vercel Web Analytics — a cookieless, privacy-friendly service that records aggregate, non-identifying usage data (no cookies, no personal data).
Hosting: The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP address, request time, page requested) as part of normal web hosting operations.
Affiliate links: Some pages may include links to products on Amazon or other retailers. These are affiliate links, meaning PackFitter may earn a commission if you make a purchase. These links do not change the price you pay. Clicking an affiliate link may set a cookie from the retailer to track the referral.
Email updates (optional): If you subscribe to our updates list, your email address is collected and processed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), our email service provider, solely to send occasional updates about new PackFitter tools and features. We do not sell or share it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address. Subscribing is entirely optional and is not required to use any tool on the site.

Your Rights
Because our analytics is cookieless and collects no personal data, there are no analytics cookies to consent to, and the site does not show a cookie consent banner. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, and most browsers offer "Do Not Track" options. The only personal data we hold is an email address you may have voluntarily given us by subscribing — you can remove it at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email.
